Kurt Cobain Statue Unveiled

A new statue has been unveiled in tribute to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The statue, which is situated in a park in North Aberdeen, Washington, is not of Cobain himself but of his guitar, the Fender JagStang.

It was revealed yesterday April 5th to mark the 17th anniversary of his death.

The guitar is eight and a half feet tall. It features a ribbon with lyrics from Nirvana’s 'On a Plain' on it. "One more special message to go and then I'm done and I can go home."

The statue was designed by local artists Kim and Lora Malakoff.
